RANGITIKEI RACES.

Yesterday morning heavy rain fell towards noon. The weather showed signs of breaking, and the j stewards decided to hold the races. The cessation, however, looked but temporary, and all but the first two races were run in blinding rain. The attendance numbered about 800, and those present made most of the sport possible. About £2000 passed through the machine, and the favorites won in nearly all cases.
