Brass Band Meeting.

A meeting was held at the Mana« watu Hotel on Wednesday evening to cousider the advisability of forming a brass band for Foxton. A good attendance was secured and Mr Keen was voted to the chair. It was resolved to form a brass band and Mr C. Wood was selected conductor ; Mr Betty, band master ; Mr Gerbes, secretary and treasurer. A working committee Avas formed of the following members : Messrs. Proctor, Betty, Keen, J. Walls, Gerbes, and Wood. It was decided to write to Wellington asking terms and prices for instruments and music. It was resolved to get some subscription lists printed.
