Monday 16tii November. (Before J. Russell and E. S. Thynne J's.P.) cmariNAii. Frederick Robinson who appeared in answer to a summons, was charged with the larceny of a saddle valued at 25s at Foxton on or about the 12th day of September last. Mr Ray who appeared for the accused asked for a remand, and the case was adjourned to next Monday. The accused was released on his own recognizance for £10. Elizabeth Ann Williams was charged with using indecent language in a public place on the 18th inst. She pleaded not guilty. After taking evidence, which is not fit for reproduction, the • onrfc sentenced her to 7 days imprisonment with hard labour in Wanganui gaol. Elizabeth Ann Williams was charged with being the occupier of a house which is frequented by reputed thieve < or persons who have no visible lawful means of support at Foxton on 14th November. The accused pleaded not guilty. The evidence showed that a man named Frank Philpoit had resided in the house for the past three weeks doing nothing, and against whom frequent convictions hnd been recorded.
