Rabbit Society.

A general meeting was held at ' Oroua Downs, on Saturday the 10th iust. Present — Messrs F. Robinson, W. G. Robinson, C. Robinson, J. McLennan, H. F. Davidson, J. Hunter, Ralston, Gifford, Amon and Barber. Proposed by H. F. Davidson, seconded by Mr Amon, That the old Society, be carried on.— Carded. Proposed by Mr Barber, seconded by Mr Gilford, That the boundary be as follows:— Borough boundary Foxton to Manawatu river, along Motoa road, thence to Oroua Bridge Main drain to .Tone's line, to Tom- j kin's line, Hickford's line, to Marquoi creek, down Rangitikei river to sea, sea line between Rangitikei and Manawatu rivers. - Carried. Proposed by J. McLennan, seconded by \V. G. Robinson, That 3d per skin, big or little, be paid for next collection. — Carried. Propsoed by Mr Davidson, seconded by Mr Barber, That the rate of 2s per 100 acres or part thereof be levied. — Carried. Proposed by Mr H. F. Davidson, seconded by Mr W. G. Robinson, That R. McLennan be secretary. — Carried. Proposed by Mr J. MeLennan,

seconded by Mr Barber, That Mr F. Robinson be re-elected Chairman. —Carried. The following Committee were elected :- (Chairman, ex oflicio), Messrs W. G. Robinson, Barber, McLennan, J. Hunter, T. McKenzie, D. Scott, Gifford and Amon. Proposed by Mr F. Robinson, seconded by Mr H. F. Davidson, That R. McLennan be treasurer.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Barber, seconded by Mr Davidson, That three be a quorum, chairman included. - Carried.
