Manawatu Rowing Club.

.. • The annual general meeting of the above club was held at Whyte's Hotel on September 30th, about fifteen members were present, Mr Curtis presiding. Six new members were elected viz :— Messrs Cawston, Eure, Hamer MeOloshy, T. Nye and H. Woodham. The annual report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year. President, J. G. Wilson Esq M.H.R., (re-elected) ; Captain, J. R. Stansell Esq ; Secretary, Mr E. P. Oowles ; Treasurer, Mr P. Curtis ; Committee, Messrs J. Symons, J. R. Whyte and \. Shadbolt ; Auditors, Messrs Cook and Potter. The secretary was instructed to make inquiries re procur^| new boats and report to a generic meet* in?. Votes of thahks were passed to the retiring officers and the chair.
