The Service of Song.

The choir of the Primitive Methodist Church gave, as announced, the Service of Song entitled "Reclaimed," at the Public Hall on Tuesday evtning. The small attendance was very marked, and evidently the public in no way assisted the

choir

Those who were present passed a a, very pleasing hour and a half, the music being extremely well rendered.

Miss H. Austin sang two solos in capital style and received well merited applause. In one portion " Every word of God is pure," Miss Gibson led, and showed herself to be possessed of a rich clear voice, giving promise of a fine future. Another item, a quartette which the Misses Austin and Messrs Barratt and T. Westwood sang " Though thy sins be as scarlet, they shall bo as white as snow," was most pleasingly given. Mrs Walsh's leading in tho part that concluded the story, must not be omitted from praise. " weet Chiming Bells," by the whole choir, was one item which was very noticeable, the bells being very clear and distinct.

We congratulate tho choir on the evident attention paid to practises, and Mr Osbornc for his training of them. Nothing on tho part of the p'.-rformei-H was wanting, but a great ds>al on the part of the public. Th.

Rev. Mr Raine read the passages in a. clear and distinct manner.
