Foxton Racing Club.

A meeting of the Committee of the Foxton Racing Club was held last evening at Whyte's hotel to arrange the programme for the Summer Meeting on the 22nd January. After some discussion it was conceded that the programme of last year could not be improved upon, and it was adopted in its entirety, with the one exception of the stakes for the hack flat race being increased by five sovereigns. Messrs Foster, 0. Robinson, 0. Barber, E. Davis, D. Wallace, W. Collins, W. Risley and H. Woodham were elected members. Tt was decided after full consideration not to open the training track this season. This course has been adopted owing to the track having cost a considerable amount of money, and it is hoped that a cessation of work for a year will ensure a good turf for next year.
