Trade, Societies which undertake to collect old accounts and forward them to the creditor at a small commission ! One of our townsmen, struck with the advantages they seemed to offer, forwarded certain accounts to the Trade Auxiliary Company of New Zealand, Limited, and has handed us the following account that he has recehed. It hardly justifies further recourse to their services. : — The amount collected was eleven shillings and ten pence, but was subjected to the following charges : To registration's ss; postages, 8s 8d ; commission, Is 8d; leaving a credit balance of one shilling and elevenpence.
