The attention of the Members and the General Public is called to some of the special features connected with the Society, which i the oldest Coloninl Institution of its kind, having been established in the year 1849. ; The results of the business for the Forty- J lirst Year, ending 31st December, 1888, j may be summarised as under : — Fikst— The number of the New Policies issued was 11,664. Second— The new Assurance business effected was for Third Ihe New Annual Premium Income amounted to £121,800. Focbth— The net increase to the business, after allowing for loss of income from j terminated Policies, was represented i by 7028 Policies, assuring £2,» 1.09,190. ! Fifth— The operations of the year raised the annual income of the Society from £1,512,280 to £1,625,---185, an increase in twelve months of «U2,905. THE Blv.
