South Africa.
It is reported that President Kruger is powerless to check the Boer expedition to Mashonaland. The number of men who have joiued the Boer expedition to Mashonaland is greatly beyond what was at first expected. President Kruger in his despatches though lamenting his inability to prevent the raid on Mashonaland, professes his friendship to Great Britain. The expedition has swollen from 5000 to 20,000 men. In consequence of the attitude of the Boers, troops are moving in Natal.
