i We remember an Edinburgh tradition to the effect that on the occasion of a fire at ' a Post Office, a voice was heard, with the usual twang in it, shouting to the firemen : "Play on the Kirkintulloch bag!" The poor fellow had posted a letter directed to that town, and it naturally was to him_th« supreme point of interest in the conflagration.
