London. Shipowners are now discharging their own vessels. The excitement at Cardiff has not abated, and troops are being despatched to preserve order. The Shipping Federation is determined to supply men, and a blockade of the costal traffic is threatened in consequence. The combined resistance of the Labour Unions against the Shipping Federation's labourers is likely to extend to all ports. Several vessels are blocked at Hull and Glasgow. It is feared that shortly 140,000 seamen, dockers, coalheavers, stevedores, anct lightermen will be involved, and that the agitation may possibly extend to railwaymen and miners. The stevedores at Albert Docks have struck. Tom Mann states that it is intended to block the steamers of the British India, Shaw Saville, and New Zealand Shipping Companies. The New Zealand Shipping Company has ordered a steamer from Denny's the shipbuilders, of 6300 tons, to carry 70,000 carcases of frozen mutton. Mr Parnell declares that the prospect of the settlement of the dispute respecting the leadership of the Party is less promising.
