Although the entry was not in excess of the requirements, the tone of the market was easier, and prices iss per head under the; recent sale's: Sheep in fewer numbers were well competed for. No lambs or pigs came forward. Ox beef, 13s per JOOlbs. Mutton is a shade over 2d per pound. We quote : — Cattle.— Bollocks, £5 ss, to £5 15s ; light steers, £4 10s to £5. Sheep. — Half-bred wethers, 11s 4d ; maiden ewes (fat), 10s 5d j did merino ewes, 6s.
