The racing was good, and several "f the wins wer ? very popular* if cbe.i'ng goes fur anything. Appen led are the resu ts: Handicap Hurdles — Tornado, 1 ; Acolyte, 2; Result, 3. This race., was a chapter of mistakes, Acolyte,* " " and Result ran off twice, and Akeake, Mho was winning by about six lengths, fell at the last hurdle, leaving Tornado to canter home. Dividend, £14 12s. Maiden Hurdle Race— Roger, 1 ; Nikau, 2 ; Waiora, 3. Won easily. Dividend, £3 6s. - Cranley Stakes — Sweet Dream, 1 ; ? : Wakapua, 2 : Potanga, 3. Won easily. Dividend, £4 13s. . ' Onslow Handicap Stakes — Slave ,- Girl, 1 ; Ben Bolt, 2 ; Ngatokorua, 8\ This was the race of the clay. A splendid start was effected. Slave Girl being quickest on her legs soon had an advantage of about a length. , < At a mile and a quarter a sheet would l '■ have covered the lot, Slave Girl still having a slight advantage. At tlie home turn Ben Bolt made a determined effort to get on terms with the mare, but*she drew away and wcih cleverly by two lengths.' Dividend^ £2 15. Time Sniin. 21sec. * Flying Handicap— -Sweet Dream, * 1 ; Wakapua, 2 ; Roulette, 3. 'Rather °s% a straggling start Avas effected, ttie^V placed horses having all the best of it.
