Parliament Summoned.
♦— MINISTERS AND RESIGNATION. Speculation on political probabilities came to an end yesterday morning, when Ministers, havicg* duly assembled in Cabinet and finally arranged everything, made public the iuformation that Parliament was to meet on Friday, the 23rd of January. According a Gazette extraordinary was issued last nighfc summoning members to meet " for the despatch of businoss " at balf-past "2 o'clock on that day. Ministers state that there will he no reconstruction before Parliament meets, though they do not deny tint changes may be made before a test vote is taken. Their present intention is to meet Parliament as th. y are now constituted, and not to resign. It is an open secret that little difficulties have arisen about trivial questions like the leadership, and rumour says that Mr Mitchelson is likely to remain between eithor Mr Biyce or Captain Russell and the lead for some littlo time at all events. The cause of tho dolay from Monday to yesterday is stili said to bo that many oi the Government's supporters objected to Parliament meoting so early as the 15 of January. Mr Brvco's interviews with the Governor had nothing to do with the difficulty, whatever it was, but seems tc havo taken place at the request of his E.-Celleney. — N. /. Tim-".?.
