Asparagus bods, when the cutting is over, should bo kept free from weeds, and the plints may well bo afforded some manure. Newly made beds of the same vegetable shon'd be hoed between the rows, and if the soil be light, given plenty of manure. Globe Artichokes will bear vory liberal supplies of manure water and thick mulching. The principal sowings for tin's month are Broad Beans, Runners, French ]>e .us Peas, Brassicas, Marrows, Pumpkins, Cucumbers, 'Spinach, Radish and Lettuce The threo latter will require a shady spot in the garden. Planting out Celery must be pushed on. Lift; the young plants with a good ball of earth, and plant carefully, so as to give as litte check as possible to their growth. Everything transplanted at this season will require a good soaking of water, which should be repeated at intervals until the plants are well established.
