The following letter to the Editor appear ed in the Manawatu Standard on Thursday last : — Sir, — A report being current that a leaflet attacking Mr Stevens has been distributed at the instigation of Mr Wilson or his agents, I beg to state that neither Mr Wilson, his committee, or anyone connected with that gentleman's candidature has, directly or indirectly, authorised any such publication.
