School Committee.
Th<> monthly meeting of the Foxton School Committee was held at Mr Ray's office om Frilny at 8 p.m. Present Mrnsr.s Tliynue (Chairman) ' liay (Secrefa y) and C. V. Purrie. j The minutes of the last meeting . were read and confirmed.
In reply to Mr Hughes letter, it was resolved that the secretary be requested to inform him of the circumstances that necessitated his child being put back in her Standard. A most intemperate letter ad' dressed to one of tho teachers at the school, was read to the committee, but as it was reported that the writer had called and made a full and frank apology to the head teacher to whom it was addressed, it was decided to allow the matter to rest. It was resolved that statuory notice be sent to the parents of a number of children who had failed to attend one half of the period the school has been opened during the past year.
