PICNIC.
The Sunday school picnic was held yesterday, and p.issod off without accident or hitch. The children gathered at (he church at J) a.m. and after singing and prayer, were formed into a procession, flio older scholars headed the march the- two leading ones carrying bannerettes bearing the lo'tors P.M S.S , 'Primitive Methodist Sunday School) while many of the other children were provided with sma'l flags.

As the day wore on tho number of vititcrs increased, so at tea time there were with children and adults about two hundred and fifty on the ground. Tea was taken at 5 o'clock, and at se\ou the juvenile* were mustered for the miirch back ; cheers were given for all who had helped to make the festival a «ucceas ; the church being reached a hymn wan sung, prayer offered, and the children dispersed we'l satisfied with the days outing. The whole of Ul9 provisions were kindly and liberally given by the members of the church r.nl czv.^vogation, besides other utorekeera giving handsome donations.
