At the back of the raised platform, the text " Feed my lambs " was placed, the letters being worked in fern leaves, p : cUed out with daisies ; in front of the platform a crown of flowers was suspended from the ceiling with a ropn of flowers looped from it to the wall on either side. Tho walls and lamps were also artistical y decorated wrh ferns, evergreens, and wreaths of flowers. There wa-s a gond congregation at the morning service. when Mr Glover preached a touching sermon from the words '• Where are the nine ? " The singing of the children, under the leadership of Mr E. O-iborne, with Miss Newth at the organ was much enjoyed

In the afternoon a flower service was held, conducted by Rev. J. Olphert. who took for his text, " The flowers appear on the earth. Preacher and children were provided with bunches of flowers from which some useful lessons wore drawn. The building 1 was well filled at this service, and the singers acquitted themselves admirably. At the evening service the place was packed, and everything went with a swjng. The pastor again took the service, and addressed hims> If to tho parents basing his sermon on the text, •' Take this child and nurse it for me and I will give thee thy wages Great praise ia due to Mr Osborno for the way in which he trained the children a- d to Mi.*s Newthwhoso ably manipulated the organ. The collections for the day were £3 12s 6d, subscriptions £',1 10s.
