Fat cattle were in average numbers, ranging from light to prime, and although there was a fair demand the tone of the market was easier than last week. Vealerg improved in value, as the salt progressed. Sheep were in short supply and be'ow the requirements, and were well competed for. Of pigs there was a very heavy entry, consisting for the most part of strong and useful stores, which, together with good porkers, receded upon late rates. Cattle.— Medium bullocks, i*s to £6 ; prime, £0 17s fid to £7 15s ; vealers, 4 s 6d to 17s. Fat Sheep.— Shorn ewes, lls 2d ; those in wool, 14s 6d ; wethers, 16a. Ox beef, 15s the lOOlbs ; shorn mutton, 2d pel lb.
