Manawatu Rowing Club.

The second haat for tho Captain's Cup was pulled off on Tuesday. The weather at the time was very boisterous and this almost marred all interest in the events Cowles v. P . Curtis — Was won by the former by two lengths. Potter v. Hinchcliffe — Was won by the latter by about three lengths. F. Curtis v. C. Symoi;& — Was won by the former by four lengths. There are now only three competitors for the Cnp — F Curtis, Cowles and Hincho iffe. As the latter receives a big start from the other two he should be abe to make it pretty warm at the finish but it is doubtful if he has the staying powers th© other two possess.
