Education Board.

The usual monthly meeting of the Education Board was held on Monday atWanganui. Present — Messrs Carson (in the chair), Sanson, Baker, Fry, Hurley, Beckeit, Notraan, and Rev. Ross.

Oroua, — A letter was also read from the Oroua Bridge Committee, requesting the Board to build a teacher's residence. Resolved to reply that all available funds are veq lired for new scho )ls and repairs. The following appointment were made in Committee : —

Foxton. — Resolved to offer Mr Stnn-ell junior assistant at Foxton, and that the Committee be informed that the Board cannot uudertako to koep a junior assistant there permanently unless the attendance warrants it. — Chronicle.
