The Salvation Army.
Mrs Booth, the wife of G n.val Booth, of the Salvation Army, who has been long ill, and who has suffered excruciating pain, has recently gained strength, and her appatit© is good. It is believed that General Booth, of the Salvation Army, is not supported out of the Army funds, but by a few gentlemen who have taken an interest in bis work from the commencement, and who jointly contribute an annual snra which is placed at his disposal toe his family nse, and that he only receives hia traveling expenses from the army funds. Over three million meala have been supplied by the Salvation Army in England since their food shelters we c opened, and the number of homeless persons sheltered ia now nearly 800 nightly.
