Messrs Stevens and Gorton report :— Good entries came forward for Bull* and Awahuri salea, and more ioi' the latter than was advertised, filling every yai'd* At Bulls prices were fully maintained, and at Awa* hnri there was a rise in fat cattle, for which there was a spirited bidding. Our quotationg are as fol' low : Cattle.— Bulls — 2-year steers, £2 to £2 2« ; 18-month heifers 22s ; calves 7s. Awalnri— Fat cows, £2 lGs 6d to £3 19s ; 2^-year steei*, £2 13s Gd ; 18-month steers, 82* to 34s ; 18-month mixed, 21s ; 2-year heifers, 2Gs ; milkers, £_ £_ 3s. Shkei'.— Bulls— Forward wethers, 12s Gd; fat ewes, lis lid; store wethers, 10s 3d ; ewes in lamb, 9s ld to I.s ; hoggets, 8s Id to Ds ld. Awahuri. — Fat wethers, llg Id ; full-mouth empty ewes, Gs lOd to 8* 3d ; ewes in lamb, 7s 8d to 8s Gd . hoggets, 7s 9d to 8s lOd.
