The following new Bills were introduced and read a first time: — Mr Samuel — The Quinquennial Parliaments* Bill (which providt?n that Parliaments after the. present ons shall be of a duration of tive years), and the Deceased Husband's Brother's Marriage Bill ; Mr Seddon — The Auctioneers Bill. The debate on the second reading of the Registration of Electors Bill occupied the time of the House till its rising at 10.15 p.m. The second reading was carried by 35 to 23. — •
