FRIDAY, JUNE 27. The Speaker took the chair at 2.30 ANSWER TO QUKSTIONS. The Minister of lands promised Mr Balance to make inquiries as to bringing holders of small grazing runs under the Selectors Lands Revaluation Act. The Minister for Public Works, in answer to Mr Buchanan, said that at piesent the Government could not make auy proposal to defray the cost of stocking the streams of the North Island irith trout. NKW UILLH. The following new Bills were introduced and read a first time: — Mr Samuel — The Quinquennial Parliaments* Bill (which providt?n that Parliaments after the. present ons shall be of a duration of tive years), and the Deceased Husband's Brother's Marriage Bill ; Mr Seddon — The Auctioneers Bill. The debate on the second reading of the Registration of Electors Bill occupied the time of the House till its rising at 10.15 p.m. The second reading was carried by 35 to 23. — •
