SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

Is the evening the householders of tbe Pohangina District met for the usual annual' meeting. Mr Charles Hunt, the Chairman of the Committee presided, and read the report and balance-sheet. The latter showed the receipts o bave been £6 6s 9d, and the expenditure £5 6s 2d. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing yeair : — Meßsrs C. Hunt, S . Hunt, Lucas, Ehline, Hughey, Sinclair, and Roberts. Mr C. Hunt who wished to be relieved Ot the office, was re-elected Chairman, the general opinion being tha he had conducted the busine*s of the Committee in the past with much attention and energy. The school has at present an average atteddance of 26, with 30 on the books.
