JOHNSONVILLE REPORT.
Cattle were in average numbers, about oue-third of the entry being heifers, which were a nice lot. Bullocks ranged from rather below medium to good. The ton* of the market was firm, prices regaining their former level. Sheep were in short supply, and was almost to 1 tally comprised of ewes ; the demand was weak, and the bidding was dull. Lambs sold readily at prices equal to late rates. No pigs were yarded. Ox beef, 13s the lOOlbs ; eeifers, 11s the lOOlbs. We quote :— Cattle.— Bullocks, £4 2s 6d to £5 10s averaging £5 and PA 12s: heifers, £3 2s 6d to £4, averaging £3 12i.
Sheej^Ggfefr wethers, 8a 8d; ewes, 7s 9d to 8s ; shorn lambs, 4s lOd ; in wool, 5s 8d to 7s.
