Hemp Millers Committee Meeting.

The Committee of the Hemp Millers As .sooiatiou met at Foxton on Monday, 10th March, at 10.30 a.m. Present— Messrs E. Gardner (chairman), W. G. Robinson (Secretary), J. It. McMillan, R. B. McKenzie, T. Lind.F. Jsnks, J. Carter, T.P. Williamß, and P. C. Colling. The minutes o£. the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Letters were read from Mr Bobert Brown and from the Wellington Chamber of j Commerce. Tho following mill owners were proposed and seconded and elected viz, — Messrs William Robertson, Walter Brown and i Henry Barber. The rules were duly considered and after certain additions and amendments were made were ordered to be printed and. to be submitted to the next general meeting to be held on Monday the 24th instant at 10.30 a.m. A letter from a- business man in Wellington re •uppl.yjng vesielft was read, and it was proposed by Mr Gardner and seconded by. Mr MoKenzie Jthen informed the commit Lse that there was, a meeting at Bulls on Fviday last, and tn« t'olloiring millers were present — Messrs Guthrie. Harris, Gibbous, Potta McMillan and himself. It was agreed to form a branch to be called the Rangitikei branch. Amended rules were suggested, which he was glad to see had been adopted this day. Mr Pott*' was appointed chairman of the branch.
