McMilan was elected <TOr usurer, Mr Thynne judge, Mr •| r *mes I iddell secretary, and Mr starter.. It was decided to hold the sports in the paddock adjoining- the Public Hall. The nominations were fixed to be in by 8 p.m on Saturday, the 9th instant, and the acceptances must be delivered to the >'ecrotary not later than 10 a.ni on Monday. Jt was decided to advertise ilxo programme, and to havt; posters printed. It was agreed that au effort should b» made to obtain a good band from Wei ington. Subscription lists will be issued, to which it was believed, the publ c would generously subscribe. A list was opened in the room when £< r > 13s fid was' at onca obtained.
