BABY OGDEN.

The Baby Ogden Company performed at the Hall on Saturday and last night. Tho hall wus packed on Saturday, but on Monday was indifferently patronised. The company are iirst class actors, and the Baby is most pleasing and natural in all her parts. The little girl evidently relishes the work cut out for' her, as a glimpse at the sides shows her smiling at the action of those on the stage, and her derive to be on and assisting. The pieces produced "Jo" and " Oliver Twist. " were handicapped for want of scenery. They were, however, not of the class of subjects to catch our audiences, being pathetic instead of fun creating, and apparently the realism of life is yet too serious for further reminding to most of us. We have been able to remark on the great improvement in the behavionr ot the audiences lately, and have therefore been assured, as we have always felt, that a tight hand on the iirst outbreaks would in time secure peace and order. This was very apparent last night, as Mr Ogden openly rebuked one man for his silly behaviour in making remarks on the utterances of the actors, and he was asked to keep <nii«( or else get his money back and leave. The audience applauded Mr Ogden, and there is no doubt that the very large majority of an audience are quite as much annoyed as the performers at these outcomes of. ".beer, more than wit," and therefore managers should always take care that these people are promptly ejected.
