WIROKINO ROAD BOARD.

ELECTION OF MEMBERS. On Friday last the -polling for the eleotion of five members for. the Wirokino Boad Board took place, at the railway station, Shannon. Much interest , was shown in the election. The polling was as follows : — -Messrs. Andrews, 49 ? Davis, 'Kebbell, and M'D-mald,' 31 each; Ghasooigne, 29 ; Davidson, 15; Armstrong, 12; and Casey, 5. The first five gentlemen were duly declared elected. Mr Davidson*s position on the poll is e plainuble by the statement that he had practically retired, but from not having given the necessary notice of so doing in time, his name had to appear on the voting papers. We congratulate tha old members on their receiving the compliment of. re-election, as oy their energetic action in opening up the district; they had certainly earned the support' of the electors. :
