SUDDEN DEATH.

It is with pain we learn than an instance of the awful suddenness with which ; death may meet us hat been instanced by the death of Mrs Richard Gray on Wednesday night last. Mrs Gray had-. (been> ■ visiting some friends at Ashui'st and attended a Scriptural meeting in that town, whan, without warning -suddenly dropped down dead whilst joining in the singing of the opening hymn. Mr Gray left town, yesterday afternoon. We beg to offer our sincere condolenoie« to the bereaved. 1 The funeral will take place tomorrow, reaching the Palmerston cemetery from Ashurst about 2 p.m.
