SCHOOL MEETING.
The statuatory meeting of the householders was held at the schoo - house last uight. The attendance was very poor. The chairman of the Committee took the chair fend explained the object of the meeting to be for the election of a committee for the ensuing twelve months. On the proposition of Mr Thynne seconded by Mr McMillan, the following gentlemen werj duly elected^ viz — Messrs T. F. Gibson, J. R. McMilian, W. G. Bobinson, B. Spelman, l£ S. Thynne, C. Honore and W. L. Cue. This closed the business of the meeting. THE COMMITTEE then met, and Mr Ihynne was elected chairman. It was resolved that the Board bo applied to for a pupil teacher, and t> ( be one who has had no previous con - n ction with the school. It was resolved, that the committee avree to provide prizes for the pupils who pass first and second in their.respective standards at the annual Inspector's examination, together witk other special prizes for regular af ■ tendance, good behaviour, and gen?•ral industry.
