LANDS OPEN FOR SALE.

We have to thank the £rown Lands Departtflewt lor the plans of the various blocias now for sale. Among the number are plans of two disttiictfr having special interest to settlers aroutid us. One is of the* rural lands, on cash or terms, lying around the Awahou - Pohangina block, and the others are those df the town and rural lots around Levin. The township is cut up into 258 sections, mostly containing a quarter of an acre each, and are placed on either side of the railway. The rural lands abut on the town sections, but the whole 1 jtfeSen'tl a lone narrow strip. The ground is mostly btifih'. Some of the sections run down very defer to the Horowhenua lake, and a reserve has been laid off containing 41 acres. In years to come this should be an exceedingly pretty spot. There is likely to be keen competition for the lots, and the land will be opened for sale or purchase on the 19th March. Intending buyers will do well to study the conditions upon which they can obtain possession, but they are too many for us to re-produce here. We do not know whether the Government intend adopting the usual course of letting the public know of this sale, but we, .thought we were consulting the interests of our readers by acquainting them directly we became aware of the facts.
