TEMPERANCE MEETING.

A Temperance meeting was held at the Methodist Church last night. Mr R. McLean was voted to the chair. Good stiring addresses were delivered by Messrs Harris, A. Honore, E. Osborne and George Adams. A recitation was given, by Master Baker, and songs were sung during the intervals between the addresses. Several persons after the meeting signed the pledge. Miss Osborne kindly presided at the organ, and the church choir gave suitable hymns. The outcome of the meeting was, that similar meetings should be held during the winter months, especially on behalf of the young men who have recently come into the district.
