Wirokino Road Board.
The usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday, at the residence of the Chairman, at Wirokino. Present — Messrs Davies (Chairman), Kebbell, Andrews, and Gascoigne. The following resolutions were agreed to : — Proposed by Mr Kebbell, seconded by Mr Andrews, That the Engineer's report of this date be adopted, and lie to be instructed to carry out the small works he has recommended". Proposed by Mr Kebbell, seconded by Mr Andrews, That the report of the Hoi'owhenua County Council «a the proposed amendments to the Public Works Act, 1882, and its Amending Acts be adopted by this Board, aud that the < hairman be instructed to advise the Honourable the Minister for Lands to that effect. Proposed by Mr Kebbell, seconded by Mr Andrews, That the Chairman be authorised to sign the memorial to the Honourable the Minister of Lands re lega isation of road, as received from the Wairarapa North County Council. Proposed by Mr Andrews, seconded by Mr Gascoigne, That Mr Bottings request for the extension of time be left in the hands of the Engineer! Proposed by Mr .*• ndrews, seconded by Mr Gascoigne, That Mr Bevan'a tender be accepted for metalling on the Muhunoaßoad at 2s 3d per yard, and that the Engineer arrange about the draining, and that a further ten chain be also done at same price. Proposed by Mr Andrews, seconded by Mr Gascoigne, That Mr Walter Shanahan's tender for Tokomaru Koad North be accepted for £135. Proposed by Mr Kebbell, seconded by Mr Andrews, That the tender of James Watson for the Tokomaru Eoad, No 2 contract, for the sum of £ 2 10s be accepted. Proposed by Mr Kebbel 1 , seconded by Mr Andrews, That the tender ot'J. H. Anderson for the Tavistock and Wallace Roads at £428 be accepted. Proposed by M r Andrews, seconded by Mr Gascoigne, That the Kngineer arrange with the contractor of the County wad near Andrews' dealing,
> deposit any spoil he' may have oin the County road onjthe Buc!<iys Road, No 8, and that the Engieer take the necessary levels and repare plans and specifications for i" formation. Proposed by Mr Gascoigne, semded by Mr Kebbell, That tenders c called for part of Tokomaru Road \o 2 40 chains, and 81 chains Albert toad, Tokomaru. Tender's to be in y March 16th, and that the Chairliiu and Mr M'Donald be a comuitfcea to deal with them. The following accounts were passed or payment: — J. Kirby, £50; J. Jowie, £21 8s lid; E. S.
