Foxton Borough Council.

A meetiug of the Council was held at the Library on Monday at 2 p.m. Present— The Mayor and Crs Coot, Williams and Fame.

The minutes of the past meeting were read and confirmed.

The following tenders foi- lamplighting and collecting the dog tax. Lamplighfing— J. M'Gill, £33 a year ; IJ.1 J . Guerin, £33 a year ; C. Spring, £30 a year.

Collecting dog tax— G. Coley, Is per head for first 50 dogs, Is 6d per head for remainder; P. Guerin, Is per head

On the motion of Or Cook, se conded by. Or Furrie, the teuders of 0 Spring for the lamps and P. Guerin for the do|.s were acceptod.

The following accounts were passed for payment -H. Blake, (Library), £3 ; Spelinan, (Library), 10s 4d ; Hillary, 11s 6d ; ,K. W. Mills, 2s lid ; Sul ivan. £6 10s ; Guenu, £o 13s 4d ; Spring £7 16s 8d ; Palmer, £8 6s Bd.
