IMPORTS.
Per Emerald — 16 tons coal, 4 cases iron, 1 keg, and 50 sacks flour, Thynne, Linton & Co j 70 £- sacks, 40 i sacks flour, and 2 sacks otitmeal. King Bros; 20 sacks oats, 10 cwt flour, Freeman and Wylds; 20d drain pipes, Jay. Messrs Freeman and Wylds' ketch Emerald arrived in port on Saturday lart from Wellington. She left there on Friday, 16th inst., but off the following evening was oaughtby the gale whioh raged at Wellington that day, and was blown round Cape Campbell ; made Kapiti following Monday, and arrived off the Manawatn bar on Tuesday afternoon; anchored until Saturday, when anchor was lifted, and she beat in. She has discharged her inward cargo, and will to-day begin taking in a cargo of timber for Lyttelton. The schooner Orpheus has almost completed her cargo of timber, and will probably get away tomorrow for Lyttelton. The Jane Douglas may b© expeoted to arrive today from Wellington. She will leave th> following day at 1.30 p.m. fox the same port.
