FOXTON LOCAL BOARD.

« An election of a Commisiioner of the Foxton Local Board took place yesterday, at noon, at the Court House. The attendancs was vei'y iuea<*r.\ and Mr Thynne acted as Returning Officer. Mr A. J. Whyte briefly ptoposed Mr Wm. Reeve, of the Avenue, as a fit and proper person for the position. Mr Francis London seconded. Th-re being no other nomination, Mr Reeve was declared to be duly elected. Mr Reeve briefly returned thanks for his election, and expiewsed his determination to do all in hi* power for the good of the township whilst on the Board. This closed the proceedings.
