A letter from the Provincial Dis- , trict Auditor re the Board's accounts . was read and received. > Letters were read from Messrs • Sitncox. and Davies, applying for j leave of absence, which was granted, i Letter read from the Secretary to i the Manawatu Highways Board. Mr Kebbell requested that the following motion standing iv his name might be left over until next meeting, ! viz : — " That all office expenses of j the Otaki Highways Board be divided $ amongst the different "Wards, in pro- • portion to the rates collected in each 5 Ward." The request was granted, I and the matter will therefore come 3 up for consideration at the next f meeting of the Board, which will be. ! held on January 14, at 2 o'clock p.m. s A small account of £1 10s, for ad--3 vertising, was passed, after which » the Board adjourned.
