The schooner Ainnffnth, Captain Bradley, left AtanukiUi on IBtu~ult. with a load of timber to be nseJ in making trucks for the Railway Department. Captain Bradley repots being off the bar last Wednesday, when a heavy S.W. gale came on, during which he lost his jib and staysail ; made Mann, where he sheltered till 12 o'clock on Sunday night, when a fresh start was made ; arrived off the bar on. Mo>day evening, and crossed on Tuesday morning's tide, arriving alongside the wharf shortly after. The schooner Falcon, Captain Leslie, arrived in port on Tuesday last from Greymouth with a cargo of 53 tons of coal for -the Railway Department. The schooner left <S rey mouth on the 18th nit., and experienced fine weather for the first few days, when a heavy galo was encountered from the N.W., during which the schooner was hove to .for 21 hours; experienced variable weather the rest of the passage, and made the port as above. The s.s. Huia. Captain Wills, left Wei lington at 0.30 p.m., on Tuesday; anchored at Kipiti at 3 a.m. on Wednesday • started again at (5.43, aud crossed the bar at 10.45 a.m., arriving at the wharf at 11 30 a.m. Tha Huia sailed again for Wellington at noon yesterda}'. The Stormbird was to leave Wellington last evening for this port. She will leave again for Wellington on Saturday.
