Per Huia— 200 telegraph poles, Liddell ; 200 sheep, Barber Bros. ; 1 case fowls, Os- . borne. ■* The ss Sfcormbird, Captain Doile, arrived in port on Saturdry morning from Wellington, with n large general cargo and about 30 passengers, including a number of immigrants. She left Wellington on Thursday, afrnoon, but owing 10. the bar having silted up was unable to cross until Saturday. She lef lon the return trip on Sunday morning. * _We understand it is likely tho Stormbird will shortly be taken off the Manawatu trade.- The general opinion is that the Jane Douglas is a more suitable boat, being a lighter draught. t The ss Huia;, Captain Wills, arrived in port on Sunday morning, from Wellington, Kaikoura Ly ttelton and Dunedin. Captain Wills reports having left Wellington on Saturday evening, proceeded under easy steam, and crossed the bar at 6.30 a.m. on Sunday, wheri*he found Pf let 6in of jrater. Sho^proceeded on her southern trip last evening, at 6 o'clock/ taking about 200 sheep. The Stormbird was advertised to leave Wellington for Foxton last njght. vr
