The frequent absence of Mr Francis Loudon from the County Council calls for remark. Since he was elected for Awahou Riding in No-
vember last, lie has attended only four sittings of the Council-. Three other sittings have been held, from which lie was absent, and for March 14 a meeting whs called vvhich fell through for lack of a quorum, Mr Loudon being one of the absentees. Such a state of things is unsatisfactory,, Matters are constantly arising in the Council in which this Riding is vitally interested, and the watchful care of both its representatives is at all times necessary. Only last Monday, several matters cropped up during the sitting of considerable importance to the residents of iW ton and the neighbourhood, only one Awahou representative being present. We wish to give Mr Loudon his due. When in Foxtou he invariably attends the sittings of the Council. At the came time that doe 3 not remove the fact that he has been absent tour out of eight times ftora his place. ; ; , , ; > i \
