London, 26th. The British aud French Governments have sent an identical vote to the Khedive demanding the appointment of one English and one French minister, and intimating that in case of noucampliance stringent measures will be adopted. The Queen has returned to Wind-* sor. The Durham strikes have ended. Melbourne, Monday. Berry telegraphs that he has had a final interview with Lord Beaconsfield and Sir Michael Hicks-Beach, and has obtained the decision of the Cabinet. The Imperial Government decline to legislate at the present juncture, but proposed that berry should submit the issue to the country ; if that fails, the arrangement is that the Home Government will invite the Imperial l'arliament to amend the Oonscitution. The Treasury has consented to reduce the Imperial share of postage to twopence. Berry proposes to accept the P. and O- Company's tender. The Cabinet has authorised Berry to sign the coutract. The Embassy returns on the 7th.
