THE MANAWATU BAR.
As we predicted in last issue, the silting up of the bar has proved only temporary. Upon arrival at the wharf yesterday morn&g, Captain Eraser, of the steamer Jane Douglas, reported that although he crossed two hours before high tide, he found fully 10 feet of water on the bar.
