ARRIVED. February I— Jano Douglas, ss, 75 tons, Fraser, f>om Wellington. Passengers: Cabin— Mesdames Bannister (2), Armstronsr, Brittain, Miss Thompson, Mr Brown ; 12 others. J. W. Liddell, agent. SAILKI) February 3— Jane Douglas, ss, 75 tons, Fraser* for Wellington. The steamer Jane Douglas left Wellington at 3 p.m. on Friday, and arrived at Foxton at 5.30 on Saturday morning. Owing to the heavy westerly weather, the Douglas was detained in port till Monday morning, when she got away for Wellington. The barques Van Diemen and lncn Mampok, from London, arrived at Wellington on Friday. ' . About 3 o'clock on Sunday morning, a collision occurred off Ohau Point, the UoAhead being run into by the Hma. Ihe former vessel was struck on the port bow, and the woodwork smashed in. How the collision occurred is unaccountable, as both vessels had their masthead lights burning, and. the night was clear.
