OTAKI HIGHWAYS BOARD.
♦ A meeting of the Hoard was held on January 27. Present — Messrs Simsox (Chairman), Kebbell, Hadfield, McCrae, and Diivies. A proposal by Mr .McCrae, seconded pro fonna by Mr .Kebbell, that the present Valu it ion List be objected to, was nega« tired. It was proposed by Mr Kebbell, seconded by Mr Da vies, and carried that ths collector is hereby authorized to collect any arrears of rates due for the yuan 1b77 and 1873. Th« uext meeting of the Board will bo held at 2 o'clock p.m., at the offices of the Board, on the day previous to the sitting of the Assessment Court.
