THE SMALL FRY AGAIN.
TO TUB EDITOR OY THE UXSX.XTXTJ
II E It ALD
Sir— l was nofc a little surprised on Saturday, when asked by an individual (who should look a little nearer home if he wanted to improve hia leisure hours) to sign a paper asking for the removal of our worthy constable, Mr Purcell. The paper had a few signatures on it, about as seedy-looking as the men they were supposed to represent. The only reason I can assign for their wanting him shifted is, because he has not made himself " hail fellow well met" with every individual and his mates. I trust tho respectable public of Foxton will not let us be deprived of the services of a policeman who haa served us faithfully for the last 14
years. Hoping I have not taken up too much of your valuablo space,
I am, &c, Oa'E who was asked to Siax, Foxton, 14th October, 1878.
