MURDER AT WAVERLEY, PATEA.

(PER PRESS AGENOY.) (Paten, September 21. j John M'Lcau, the cook of Fraser Slid Tregear's party on the Momohaki block, was fouud drowned on Thursday. It w»w believed lhat he had slipped down a steep bank. It was afterwards found that powder and bullets had been stolen from the tent. At the inquest to-day a bullet was found in the man's head, which leaves little doubt but that he has been murdered.
